Did you grow Marmalade and just love the color but hate all the fungus and root rot? Caramel should be a much stronger plant for you and still have all the apricot and orange hues you grew to love. Leaves come out with a burgundy color and age to an apricot, burnt orange color. Caramel has villosa parentage so it should also be more heat and humidity tolerant than many heucheras. It is a rapid grower and really fills a spot quickly. It seems to do a little better if you keep it on the dry side, especially when young. Take advantage of this unique color and blend it with darker heucheras or some lighter colored hostas to bring it out
